Some people asked me if I could post some more step by steps, so for those who are interested, there are some steps of my last painting.

About the process, pretty much the same as always:
-1 I started doing some doodles in photoshop until I came up with an idea, then I tried to do a sketch, rough, but accurate in proportions, light and color. This is the most difficult and important part of the process, if this doesn´t work, then anything works.
-2 After touching the face a little more, I opened the file in painter and blend all the colors with the blender tool to create a smooth "base" to work with.
-3 Then, back again in photoshop, I began to add more detail, lights, shadows and colors in the flesh. Lately I have been using a brush called "wet sponge" or something like that, with the size jitter controlled by bressure option on.
Also used some layers in color mode with low opacity to create subtle color variations on the skin (Blue, purple, yellow, red...). These variations help to achieve a natural look.
-4 As you can see, the torso had a pretty rough and scratchy texture, so I used a soft and transparent brush to create a smooth surface, very carefully, trying not to loose the volume. After that I started to work on the face, repeating steps 3 and 4.
-5 & 6 I changed her eyes, because i thougt that it will look better if she was looking to the "camera", then I started to add all the details, painted, the jeans, the feet, the hair and all the other stuff...
And thats all ;)

Blender tools in painter are very useful, but in the other hand, photoshop works faster, and has some nice features and brushes I like, so I usually combine them.

And thanks! :)
